June 5th is World Environment day so this month’s Right is linked to this big event. The Right of the month is Article 6 – You have the right to life and to grow up to be healthy. Your challenge of the month is to look after your class environment. The Right’s Ambassadors will be visiting each class to check that all lights, computers and whiteboards are switched off at break and lunchtimes. They will also give bonus points for tidy classrooms. Good luck!
Today is a very exciting day…
The start of the 6 Nations! Wales are playing England tonight at The Millennium Stadium and our Rights Ambassadors have linked our right of the Month to this. During the whole of February we will all be proud of the Welsh Rugby Team so our right is linked to nationality.
It is Article 7 – You have the Right to a name and nationality. Your challenge this month is an easy one. You need to watch the Wales rugby matches and cheer on the team!
Well I have a busy week this week because last Thursday four classes achieved the Early Bird award. I will be looking forward to seeing all of the hard work and our rights in action in each of the classes this week.
December is finally here and with a new month comes a new Right of the month. This time we are linking our Right of the Month to Christmas. We have chosen Article 36 – you have the right to be safe. Our ambassadors didn’t want to give everyone an extra job to do because December is so busy so their challenge is to have a happy and safe Christmas holiday.
Also well done to all the pupils who took part in the November Challenge. We had three excellent entries. Well done to Tia and Matthew in Dosbarth Llynfi and Theo in Dosbarth Ewenni. The ambassadors will announce in winner in assembly very soon!
I hope everyone has a great December. The songs for both productions are already sounding amazing!
Well, I am a lucky seagull as I have spent an interesting week in Dosbarth Teifi finding out about renewable energy and listening to energy saving tips. Zane, Elliott and Dylan have also been very busy checking the classrooms are not wasting energy for switch off fortnight, listening in on their conversation they are very happy with every class in school. On Thursday I went back into the hall to get ready to visit my next class and to my surprise I am off back to Dosbarth Teifi for a second time. Let's see what they learn this week.
